At Filmographer, we see ourselves not just as a team that produces visuals, but as deep-
rooted storytelling strategists. For our latest digital documentary project, Seyir, we turned our lens toward one of the most global figures in world football and sports management: Dr. Erkut Söğüt.
But who is Erkut Söğüt?
He is the mastermind behind some of the biggest transfer operations in world football, managing million-dollar global contracts and meticulously shaping the careers of world-class stars like Mesut Özil. Today, he stands as a global power player shaping the future of sports at the very top executive level of DC United, the historic Major League Soccer (MLS) club based in Washington, D.C.
He is a true visionary—someone who steps off luxury private jets only to spend the night studying in libraries, proving that success is not built on money, but on dignity, loyalty, and an endless passion for learning.
Behind the Scenes: Crafting a Cinematic Portrait
Bringing Dr. Erkut Söğüt’s fast-paced world in Washington and the dynamic atmosphere at the heart of DC United to the screen was an incredible production journey for us.
The DC United Pitch and High-Adrenaline Match Footage: We filmed at the very heart of the story in Washington, D.C. We captured the high-adrenaline atmosphere of DC United matches, the raw passion of the stands, and Dr. Erkut Söğüt’s natural leadership at the pinnacle of the sports world, all through a cinematic aesthetic.
Late Nights in the Editing Room: After days of shooting, the most challenging part of the journey began at the editing table. Through days and nights of meticulous editing and color grading, we infused every single frame with the true essence of documentary cinema. Our goal was not just to present a chronological chronicle of success, but to create a living portrait that truly resonates with the viewer's soul.
